My Kitchen Aid after many years quit. My husband via internet got a small part after he took the mixer apart. Got the part and replaced it. Now my mixer works perfect. He can fix anything when he can locate the part.
I have repaired my mixer too!

That is one thing I really like about them.

I found this flour at the store today. It's in a plastic resealable bag, 10 lbs for $6 instead of 5 lbs for $3.50. I don't know if it was almost gone because it was cheap or because it's good. I usually buy KA. I hope it's good, I bought 20 lbs.

My m-I-l gave me her’s. It was smoking. I tossed it. Could it have been fixed?
Yes! Even if you are not capable of the repairs yourself, Kitchenaid has a repair service. You just have to get an estimate to determine whether or not the repairs are justifiable.

Yes, all of the parts are available even packing grease to go around the motor.
If you find one at a yard sale, you can fix it if it needs parts.

That's my AP flour of choice! Love that stuff, it's almost silky feeling and bakes super well.

I just tried the 1st recipe in my new high altitude cookbook. Just chocolate chip cookies but OMG, they didn't spread and taste delicious! I had a bag of chips that included milk chocolate, semi-sweet chocolate and white chocolate chips, this was a good use for them (can't remember why I bought them to start with).
