Ok, move to GA and I'll rent out my DH

I was the youngest of 4…mom went to work as a nurse when I was 9 yo. The "elder kids" all learned to cook and I didn't…but I learned to bake…and they didn't..lol.

My DH grew up with his mom, aunt and Grandmother and never even had to fix a glass of water! Big mistake, he married me…a non-cook. He learned to cook for what he described as " survival"…so he does the grocery shopping and real cooking, and I work and do fun baking…..The moral is, if there is a will, there is a way and even middle aged folks who never had early learning can teach themselves to cook…If you ever meet my DH, please, please don't tell him that I really do know how to cook

so while I was doing a search for cowboy candy, I found crystallized ginger. Have any of you done that?
I love to grow it, but I never get it all used before it starts to dry out and I quickly replant it... which is why I have so much of it.

and... I buy my crystallized ginger.

The whole ginger ale for glazed carrots got me all excited for glazed carrots and ginger.

Okay, yea, it does not take much to excite me.
Which, when you think about it, that's a good thing.
Life has not yet jaded me.

But truthfully, people have. I am sometimes just worn out by people.
I just want you all to know how nice it is to find people like you all.
You are good people and sometime we get so blindsided by the jerks in the world that we forget to see all the really great people not being jerks.
So
