Any Home Bakers Here?

I think I'm the fall mood and with yucky rainy weather, I've been baking. Yesterday, I made 80 blueberry muffins and 40 cinnamon rolls today. I'll probably make more cinnamon rolls tomorrow :)

Good tips! I really do not need more kitchen gadgets (though I keep buying them :idunno). I like the idea of using stock instead of water, that would add a bit more flavor to them.

Between the stock and tossing them in browned butter, WOW!

Whoa, that's a lot of baking! Will you freeze them to eat later?

Yep, most are in the freezer already. It'll make easy breakfasts before school or yummy snacks later. I always tend to do this in Fall/winter then we end up eating whatever I make all year. I think there's still 1 loaf of banana bread left out there from last winter lol. I'll end up making a lot more as it gets colder out.

I told hubby that I'd like a nice stand mixer for Christmas this year like a KitchenAid or bigger. He told me it's a bad idea because then we'll all weigh 1000 lbs lol.

Were they big and fluffy dumplings, or were they a small, dense dumplings. My grandma made the small dense dumplings. She said they were called spaetzel - or something like that.
I love the dense dumplings.

My grandmother was famous for giving things the wrong name. She was a decent cook, but not much at remembering what things are called. She told us Punchkas were simply fried bread dough. It is actually a polish doughnut - usually topped with fruit. So, both deep fried dough I guess. I really like her version better - split open and filled with jam.
