Any Home Bakers Here?

Actually, I just stand on my toes. I have tried using the child, but this one is defective.
Sometimes I can’t reach the socks and underwear. If my husband is walking by he dives in.
I told her to use the grabber tool. She likely will next time
Safer then a stool.

I have two of the grabbers. One is for chickens and the other is in the laundry closet. It is very handy for getting socks that fall behind the washing machine and will not be needed to get laundry out of the deep washing machine

I have a grabber tool to reach the socks that stick at the back of my front loader. We stacked our washer and dryer to get more room in the closet. The control panel for the dryer is at the front of the machine, but slanted back slightly. I can't see the writing on the buttons so I have to dry my clothes by memory. Every once in a while, when my DH is nearby when I do laundry, I have him read the buttons for me - just to check my memory. He never knew we had a button for reducing static on the clothes...

DH and I were looking at washer/dryers not long ago at Home Depot. We laughed about the stackables that are so freaking tall with the slanted control panel. What were those designers thinking?

With the bigger top load washing machine, you need to be in the 5'7" or taller height to get to the bottom of the drum. DW is 5'. Short people get little consideration!

They obviously don't care about selling them to people my height (I'm 5'3"). I'll let the taller folks have them and I'll stick with my old-fashioned side by side models (with the minimum settings). Those are cheaper to buy and I can read/reach all the controls!

I have an ancient GE and am not looking forward.....WHEN IT BREAKS DOWN. They are NOT building them to suit me. Aria

The new ones are side by side sadly. I did not think about the height issue when I ordered them from Home Depot. The front load versions would be better for short people but I have heard that they have issues with bearings and etc. from the side weight.

Ours were Kenmore and were ancient! The dryer was starting rust on top.
