Aria, fresh eggs can be a real pain to peel. I think it's @R2elk that has a method that works well. I use the 4/14 method mostly and it works ok. I put them in the pan, fill with cold water bring them to a rolling boil and boil for four minutes. Then put the lid on and turn the fire off and let them stand for 14 minutes. Then I use a slotted spoon to drop them in ice water. I keep them in the ice water for at least 15 minutes before I try to peel. My way is easy for me to remember but is always hit or miss on getting the egg out of the shell cleanly. Interestingly, I boiled a bunch up this weekend and didn't have time to get them peeled. Tossed em in the fridge in a zip lock bag. Those eggs have peeled nicely. Not sure if it's a fluke or there's something to it.

That's how I do hardboiled eggs too...works great!

I KNOW how to boil eggs....I am having problems peeling the
eggs. My 5 chickens did not lay eggs..until NOW and NOW they
are really laying. Made egg salad....and had a time peeling them and a lot of the whites....were still attached to skin. I recently
saw at neggmaker.com $17.95 (they have on Amazon of course).
Does anyone have suggestion? And I have tried the spoon all
around. And I did cool in ice water. etc. Anyone had experience
with the neggmaker> seems pricey to me?????? Help needed.

@Aria here's what I do. I put the eggs in a pot of water, I bring it to a rolling boil, then I immediately take it off the heat, cover, and let it sit for 15 minutes. After that, I soak it in cold water for 5 minutes. Then, I peel them.

It seems to work.

Not me, I just use eggs that are preferably at least two weeks old. But I also don't do anything special like the ice water method. Many report good results using the ice water method. There are some egg shelling machines that appear to work excellent even on fresh eggs. Some of them even have homemade versions.

Newly hatched eggs when boiled do not peel easily. Always use your oldest eggs for hard boiling! About 10 days to 2 weeks old eggs and you will see the difference, they are easy to peel and the membrane is loose! :clap

I boil my water first and then add the eggs to the boiling water. I cook for about 15 minutes and quick cool them in ice water. I have pretty good luck with fresh eggs.
