It's a bit of an acquired taste I think. I'm not overly fond of it myself but my DW wanted to give it a go.

Will look to see if I can find the bread pudding recipe - have only made them a couple of times, but my favorite used Pepperidge Farms cinnamon bread and likely was their recipe?

My DW and I love corned beef. My Daughters do not care for it though.

@ronott1 My parents loved it too, and I would not even taste it when I was growing up. My DH loves corned beef with cabbage, and I actually tried it and liked it. Guess it is an acquired taste?
