Any Home Bakers Here?

I no longer have cable/satellite. However, there is one channel that comes on when I turn on the television. It is some kind of British cooking show. Duckling actually found it when messing around with my remote.
Anyway, a guy just showed me how to make a jam pump. You know how butter/peanut butter gets into the jar? This is the solution if you don’t use the squeeze bottles.
1 pint mason jar with lid and ring
1 clean soap pump
1 pair needle nose pliers
•Take your mason jar (kinda funny it’s not a jelly jar!), and put on the lid.
•Use the pliers to punch a hole in the middle of the lid so the thick part at the top of the pump just fits.
•Add your jam

If you really want, I’m sure you can use a jelly mason jar. Since the pump would be too tall, I would just make the hole smaller to fit the center part of the pump, and that should keep it from wiggling too much.

@ronott1,

Made sourdough crumpets this morning with some of the starter.

You got me hooked on sourdough. I love the taste.
Crumpets are very tasty!

You can make the bagel recipe-- it is in file sour.pdf that I sent to you via pm. That recipe uses yeast so will work now.

I bet you could make bread without yeast this weekend
