I actually "practiced" making bread for about 3 years. LOL I can make a fluffy loaf if I use yeast and a little sugar, but when it comes to sour dough, it just doesn't rise properly. So, I'll watch the videos and read a bunch of posts and then give it another go. Oh, I actually took a class in it once too.X 2. I had to make bread a few times to get a feel for it. @ValerieJ practice and patience will definitely help.
Your pumpkin pound cake is on my list to try. I'm taking it to an office potluck in a couple of weeks. Can't wait to try it!

That is probably my problem. I'm trying to get the same elasticity as I do with the sweet bread.I isn't hard really just do not overwork the dough and have the house 68
when do you want to get the sourdough starter I keep it in Mason jar with a coffee filter on it
