It is amazing the difference using a different type of flour can make!Thank you! They were so good! The only time I’ve ever made biscuits instead of hockey pucks! @ronott1 suggested low protein flour and it really works!
There were 6 of us growing up-- 4 kids and Mom and Dad. Mom was a stay at home mom and Dad had to quit working with MS. Mom went back to work as a 9 month teachers aid in a special Ed class room(That is what they called it back then and no mainstreaming).My mother was feeding 7 kids. It was a cheap and easy dessert. <grin>

We made all of our deserts and one of my favorites was making a big batch of rolls and using half of them as savory with tuna gravy and the other half as sweet turned into cinnamon rolls!
