Another Winner for cookies. Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies. I took two of the user suggestions and going to try a third next time around.

I Added 1 tsp of Cinnamon
And I Soaked the Raisins in hot water with a shot of Vanilla Vodka (rum and bourbon were also recommendations).
Next time, I'm going to add 1/2 tsp of cloves just to see if I like it.

Also, here's a recipe for really cheap Vanilla Vodka.
1.75 liter bottle of the cheapest Vodka you can find (for me it's $8). Cut a good quality Madagascar vanilla bean in half (not lengthwise) ($3.00) and drop it in. In about a week it's ready and get's better with time. Save the bean and use it a second time. So you can get 3.5L for less than $20.
Whatever you do, do not try mace. I have a recipe that calls for mace. I actually added it to the recipe one time. Everyone was disgusted with a previously loved dessert.

Bob, Like the recipe. A bit too much SUGAR for me...ok with the added cinnamon and cloves. And the Vanilla idea neat...of course. What do you think....if i decrease the sugar? Aria

Thanks for the tip... I can't imagine what they would taste like with mace.

I don't think it would be too big of a problem, but I'll defer to others on reduced sugar.

Oh, and the final product

Yes please!
They are so incredibly soft. We're getting back into trying different snacks for work over the weekends along with cooking a couple of meals for the week. After a full days work, taking care of the animals, cooking a meal with a lot of prep is just too much and we hate eating out of a box.
