I've been learning. I'm not too fond of cooking, but I do love food
My fiancee and aren't too much into sweets, so my baking is usually breads or just if something needs in the oven, like one-pan chicken and veggies.
One thing I absolutely love is potato bread!

I shove a butter knife in the lid and pop it off.You should not be hitting the lid with anything to remove it. You risk chipping the top of the jar when you do that. A jar with a chipped rim will not seal properly. My sister just "taps" the edge of the rim with the back of a knife to break the seal. Most of the canning jars that she returns go right in the trash or out to the craft shed because they are chipped on the rim.
Always pry the lid off a canning jar!
Thanks Penny@DigMyChicks can win it easy

I have a set of plastic lids that has both normal and wide mouth sizes. They are good for storing in the fridge after opening.
I use them for the quart jars I make yogurt in
It seems like there are a lot of different lid choices!
