We called them that here in Northern California too. Far north up where folks want to split from the State and form the State of Jefferson!

Mine is a magnet that I attach to my small oven. If I look around I'm sure I could find some more.

I have the can opener that has a spike that you punch in the can, then you work it back and forth to open the can. It has a cork screw in the handle. Opposite the spike there is an edge to open bottles.

I will get a picture of it and add it here.

I do not live up there anymore and think that the State of Jefferson is very silly.
