@SnapdragonQ thanks for that link to the Fleichmann's page...I found several recipes to try out (just need to pick up a few ingredients first)!
Want another rabbit hole??

I googled Red Star yeast earlier too and they have a site with recipes. Didn't grab my attention quite as much as the other ones...probably because I was in a hurry to click out of there before I shorted out my PC with drool.
...and now I'm in trouble because I went back for the link and see they have a GF recipe section!! :th

And FYI for those who might need to know. Fleischmann's and Red Star are both GF. Not all yeast is. Red Star states their yeast is made in a dedicated GF facility. Next time I need yeast I will try theirs. I try to support places that have dedicated facilities.

ETA: The regular yeasts are GF, some of their other products or starters are not. Each product page states clearly.

I was unable to get Fleischman Yeast and they had Red Star...I purchased it and it is FINE. I was able to order Red Star at Amazon.
Thanks for sharing these two excellent sites. Aria

I managed to get a 500g packet of yeast on eBay. And there is flour on too. Maybe worth looking to see if it's the same for you over the pond? Glad to know I can freeze it too.

Someone was on about apple and rhubarb pie. How about apple crumble? Lovely and buttery if you add just that bit more than the recipe asks for. Yum
