first shot missed. The bear lifted its head, then resumed eating. Second shot missed, and the bear ran towards me, which surprised me.

Third shot hit, killing it instantly.

Good thing because I hear they move pretty fast.

OK, you’re all misunderstanding. The bear did charge towards me, but he was still running away for me. Probably a little disoriented. He was broadside when I took him. About a 30 yard shot.

I know mine was listed as a clean kill but she was going to eat me I was between her an her cub .. My Belgian Maline 45 lbs was with me trying to save me my shot was just 15 feet from me Maline got swipe to her side I had to suture

Used to have some, but not anymore. I would rather not talk about it. Let’s just say I had to butcher them before I moved.
