Don’t worry, I’m aware of the danger of trichinosis. I cooked it to the right temp.
I know, we've discussed it in the past, I was just messing with you.

My supper is going to be the apple dumpling that is in the oven with an apple pie.
That sounds FAR too healthy!

@R2elk I wanted to tell you something. In my state, there is a mandatory hunt check requirement where we have to present the skull and hide of the bear to fish and game. As a result of this, I had to take the hide off by myself. I did a reasonably good job, but I don’t think I can get it professionally done now that the hide is off the body. I could be mistaken, though.

i’m not disregarding what you said, but I’m still trying to get it done the right way.

My mandatory hunt check is tomorrow morning. I will keep you all updated.

Here the whole carcass must be presented for a tooth removal. As long as you didn't cut holes in the hide, they can deal with the rest. Even small holes can be stitched back together.

It is standard procedure to clean the skull and bleach it with hydrogen peroxide. It is not recommended to boil the skull as it can cause the teeth to crack. Never use bleach on bones.

If this apple pie is half as good

as the apple dumpling was, it will be fantastic.

Delicious.... :drool

I made a banana tart and a chocolate tart, both with phyllo dough. They banana one is done now, but the chocolate one has a bit more time to go in the oven. Pictures soon!
Er, apologies -- pictures tomorrow. Of both the whole tarts, and of the cut tarts.
Sorry.
