Any Home Bakers Here?

That does sound really good. I cook with mixes all the time. I love baking from scratch, but usually do not have the time, energy, to do it.

Well today when I was grabbing the egg my duck hen left I accidentally cracked it...so I searched the cupboards for some way to use up the cracked egg I found a smores cupcake mix...so long story short.....I made Smores cupcakes...yummy

Quick thinking, I would have just cooked it and fed it to the flock

Never heard of smokes cupcake mix, sounds interesting.

What's the difference between cupcake mixes and cake mixes? Is there a difference?

Glad it turned out.

I have read that you can freeze chili and would like to try that next time - how do you freeze yours and how do you thaw to reheat it?

I know what you mean, I only have one laying - all others are still molting.

Had really wanted to make NFC's eggnog recipe :(

You can make it any time of year. Eggnog, it's not just for holidays

We freeze our chili frequently because DH makes such big batches of it. I just put it in a plastic freezer box. When we're going to have it for dinner, I'll take it out of the freezer in the morning and it's ready to heat up by dinnertime.

Got my gingerbread cookies done this morning. How does stuff get lost one holiday to another? Last year I couldn't find my old cookie cutters so I bought a couple of gingerbread people cutters. This year I couldn't find them but found my old cutters. I expect the gingerbread people to show up next year.
