I'm going to bake Martha Stewart's version of Sally Lunn bread today.

Okay, here's my try at breakfast cookies. I added ocean spray cranberries and walnuts.
Not as pretty as others, but they taste good!

Cranberries and walnuts sounds like a good combination!

I had to look that up, never heard of it before. The pictures make it look like a cross between a bread and a cake...is that right?

Tasting good means your tongue thinks they are pretty. That's what matters.

Her version uses a pullman loaf pan, some recipes use a bundt pan. So yes it's probably between a cake and bread, but it shouldn't be sweet with a third cup of sugar? If it's too sweet maybe I'll make it with less sugar next time. I bet it'll make awesome french bread. I mean french toast.

Had French tost for breakfast. And had some of the French bread and last nights potato soup for lunch. No baking going on here for awhile. I live with 2 diabetics so this is a treat around here.
