I'm trying out a new Challah recipe today from this book:


I make their regular bread frequently (it's DH's favorite) so it will be fun to see how their Challah turns out. They use this dough for pecan nut rolls, that's what I'm going to (try) to do with it.

I actually use a different recipe now that is easier for me. I did not recommend it to you because it probably has too much shortening for your tastes. The recipe you now have is an excellent recipe that always got compliments when I used it.

Thank you all I had a great day.. Most every day is good here but this I was spoiled I have 12 silkie now all made it ..
had a blizzard learned I can go even smaller on them .. Sugar high my diabetic better half finished it ..
Will go out to dinner also Nacho's Mexican here in town

The crust recipe that I use to make a two crust pie leaves enough extra dough to make an apple dumpling or a one crust pie. If I had enough dough left over, I would have made a whole peach pie.

There is only one of me. I have developed recipes for one person but when it comes to pie, I want the whole pie.

I gotcha. There are only two of us and we don't need the extra pieces.

Made a smoothie bowl this morning.
Around a cup of frozen fruits in the blender. Then as milk till it is soft.

it was good.

also make naan bread.

Anyone have a good no bake crust for key lime pie? My crust is trash and I love the pie filling.
