Any Home Bakers Here?

I'm trying my new bread loaf pan, does that count lol. It's the same size as a standard store loaf of bread.

Made the King Arthur flour white bread recipe yesterday and the loaf looks perfect and tastes great. I still find though they never really have that store bought texture that the kids are used to though. Is there something I'm missing?

We put 3 large packages of sliced ham in the freezer yesterday. There are 2 packages plus a bag with a big bone in the refrigerator. Good thing we like ham.

We are hamed out here. Due to circumstances we didn't expect and free ham from hubby's work we ended up with the equivelant of two full legs of ham. Used one half leg up before Xmas, baked and are eating a full one and thinking I'll just put the last half in the freezer whole and bake it in a month when we aren't over it any more.

I want to freeze blue berry muffins and banana nut muffins how do dethaw the so they dont get soggy?

I freeze mini muffins and put about six to a bag. Then to thaw, just pull them out and set on a paper towel and put in the microwave for a few seconds or leave them out overnight. If they seem soggy, you can put them in the toaster oven, but I have never had a problem.

I dont have a toaster oven lol i am low tech all i really have is an oven and a really old microwave.

You can just put them in the oven for a few minutes if you think they seem soggy

. I usually just set them out in a plate with a paper towel and haven't had that problem.
