Good morning and happy Thanksgiving all. No photos of my pecan pie I made ahead of time a few days ago. Cheese ball made yesterday evening is ready to go and hopefully looks enough like a little turkey! Green bean casserole to go soon. Then everyone combines their dishes and we have a nice big lunch!

View attachment 2909125Don’t laugh. I’ve been trying to make a specific sourdough loaf that matches what is in my brain for about 12 years.

This is my prettiest loaf yet. While nowhere near as pretty as I have seen here…. This little ugly thing is promising for me.

Yes, it’s a ham. Grandmother has a poultry allergy.

Absolutely! I love to bake -as long as I promise my wife that I'll clean up. I LOVE bread. It's probably my favorite food. My wife has a recipe for a European-style bread that you cook in a cast iron dutch oven. You don't have to kneed it, so that makes it easier. If anyone is interested in the recipe, I'll be glad to respond and give it to you.
