Looking at that price for flour, it makes me really appreciate the Mennonite store nearby. I bought almost 14 lbs of Bread Flour for $11 the other weekend. Although, their prices are increasing along with everyone else's, and they are having some supply issues in restocking stuff.
Every time I go in there, they have another "new" flour or sweetener on the shelf. They will order specialty stuff at a request of a customer, and anything that the person doesn't want is packaged, priced and set on the shelf. If it sells good, it becomes part of the regular stock.

Ridley's here carries a really good all purpose flour for less than $10 for 25 lbs. I got my last sack for under $8 when it was on sale.

@Aria Those loaves look fabulous! What recipe did you use for them?
wyDreamer: It is the Sourdough Oat Honey that Ron
I am sure...put into the Index. I did bake this same
recipe in 9 x 5 tins. Since I gave them as gifts. Now
Doctor has informed me....I must REST MORE and not stand for any length of time. So I decided to use
my Antiques Tins. But the same recipe. If Ron has not put in the index...let me know and I will post it. The recipe make about 4 pounds of dough and you can weigh dough and make the sizes you like.
I have made two 9 x 5 tins and one 81/2 x 4. It is a simple Sourdough Oat Honey and is delicious.
Let me know. Aria

Y'all, I cannot for the life of me figure out what's going on in the filling part of this recipe.

It says to finely blend half of the pecans, then doesn't mention anywhere else what to do with the other half. Do I just mix the rest in whole, or what?
My assumption is that you do the same thing with the other half of the pecans for the second one. It appears that it makes 2. Of course you know what assume means.

LOL! I roughly chopped the second half of the pecans and mixed it with everything else. Texture, I guess?
