Made 2 sheets of low carb turkish pizza ( lacunah) with cauliflower bottom ( cheese, almonds, eggs and carrots were also included ) of course it isn’t like the usual crust but still pretty tasty , topping was ground beef with cumin, diced cucumber and tomatoes with some chopped parsley, served with homemade tzatziki

The verdict on cutting my sourdough loaf before it was totally cool... It was fine. The place where I cut it was a little gummed up, but the rest was fine.

I did screw up when I baked it though. I forgot to turn the oven from 500 down to 450 for the second part of the baking. I thought the crust seemed a little dark, then realized what I'd done. I don't know if that had anything to do with it. It is a little bit drier than the last time I made it.

I don't know if I'll be *good* next time and wait, or not...

I put the bread ( in a pot with lid) in at 500 , wait 10 minutes, then go down to 450 for 30 minutes and remove the lid and wait another 10 minutes, usually, it is perfect

My recipe says to preheat cast iron Dutch oven for 30 minutes at 500. Bake bread in cast iron with lid on at 500 for 15 minutes, then remove lid and turn heat down to 450 for 20 minutes.

I forgot to turn the heat down...

Does anyone use ice cubes in their Dutch oven to create steam? I read that somewhere, and was wondering about trying it.

Obviously everybody has a little bit different recipe 😉 and of course I preheat the cast iron pot at least 30 minutes at 500 (the recipe even calls for 60 minutes preheating )
