You know I do not like ROUND LOAVES

I thought it was just me who didn't like round loaves
What is it about round loaves...?

If it's a good chewy bread with good crust, it's ok. If it's supposed to be for sandwiches, it's a pain in the neck.

What kind of loaf pan could I use for GF sourdough? Do I still need to bake it (in the loaf pan) inside the Dutch oven, or does a loaf pan take the place of the DO? :idunno

I'm still learning about sourdough, still in love with the flavor, so I put up with the round loaves. Mine haven't risen very tall, so I slice the slices in half and have the top piece and the bottom piece. I like the top one better.

Sally PB, I usually weigh the dough pound and 1/4 I would go with 8 1/4 x 4 and if it weighed 1 pound and 3/4 I would use 9 x 5 tin. When I have my two pound loaves I use my large Antique Tins. Just fit your dough to the tin. Place the dough in an make sure it has room to rise.
