Who likes trying new things for Thanksgiving dinner vs sticking to old favorites? I tested sweet potato bars with maple-candied pecans and torched homemade marshmallow fluff for dessert this year, but I also wouldn't be caught dead without the classic broccoli casserole with velveeta and Ritz crackers.

I love trying new things.

We are not going with new this year. We are having German's Chocolate cake instead of pumpkin pie thiugh.

Same as always: Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry, and lemon meringue pie.

The stuffing and cranberry are done. I'll make the pie tomorrow morning, in advance of the turkey.

Since it's not considered safe to stuff the bird anymore, I've decided that I can do without that messy hassle. So do I just leave the cavity empty? Put in some onions? Maybe the squeezed out lemon rind left over from the pie? Any suggestions?
