Any Home Bakers Here?

I usually bake double recipes cos else everything would be gone in an hour 🤪 whenever it is Christmas, my first batch is gone before the evening, so I have to bake more than once, and I started hiding the cookies in the freezer, my family scours the cupboards for cookies, but doesn’t look in the freezer 😅

King Arthur Baking company recipe for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies

Preheat oven to 325 and line multiple cookie sheets with parchment or lightly grease with nonstick vegetable oil

Ingredients
  • 16 tablespoons butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg at room temperature
  • 1 large egg yolk at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats, old fashioned or quick cook
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt  or 3/4 teaspoon table salt
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips

In a large bowl or stand mixer, combine butter and sugars until smooth.

Beat in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.

Whisk together flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and add into butter mixture.

Mix until completely incorporated.

Stir in chocolate chips.

1/4 cup of dough will make 20 palm sized cookies, a tablespoon cookie scoop will make 50 three inch cookies, and a teaspoon cookie scoop will make 100, 2 1/2 inch cookies.

Bake 12 to 17 minutes, let cool, and enjoy!
The King Arthur Baking website has a lot of awesome recipes. One of my favorite baking websites 😋

Not again.

Good morning! Joining in if you don't mind. I have some tea as well, English breakfast. Made some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies from the King Arthur website this week and experimented with the recipe. It is great with mini chips, and as I was using mini chips, I cut the chocolate chip amount, as well as cutting the recipe in half because it makes a lot of cookies! I'll put up both the original version and the amended version, if anyone wants them.

I like the English Breakfast tea as well.

I also have forty to fifty boxes of different of different teas mostly Twinings.

What brand of tea do you like the most?

Welcome!
