Debby, My kind of recipe. Thanks for posting. I made a copy
Need to get crushed pineapple and dry milk. WILL MAKE SOON.Regards, Aria
Pineapple provides the moisture in the recipe. I wonder if canned peaches would work the same? A bit of water might need to be added, like some oatmeal cookie recipes.may try it minus pineapple not a big go here but does look really good
so will give it a try

WALNUT BREAKFAST & SNACK COOKIES
(Makes about 2.5 - 3 dozen)
1/2 Cup butter, softened
1 Cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (14 oz) can crushed pineapple, well-drained
1 3/4 Cups AP flour
1/2 Cup instant powdered milk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 Cups oatmeal (not instant)
1 Cup dried cranberries (I switched that to dried cherries)
1 Cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1. In large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in the vanilla. Stir in the crushed pineapple.
2. In separate bowl, mix together the rest of the ingredients and combine well. Add dry ingredients to the pineapple mixture and stir until well combined.
3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto a parchment paper-covered baking sheet.
4. Bake at 350* oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on rack.

dough was a bit runny may add more flour maybe it is our rainy days here![]()
