Any Home Bakers Here?

@ronott1

What is the longest time you have frozen bread and it still be good when thawed? A month or more?

And thanks for mentioning your sourdough, almost forgot it was time to feed my starter :)

One to three months is fine. After that it can start getting some white freezer burn spots on it.

It never makes it more than a month though.

Yes! Sourdough shaping time for me.

The bread was very tasty! I decided to make a round loaf and a regular loaf.

San Francisco soudough bread:

The recipe is in here: ( I added a teaspoon and a half of sugar to get some color on the bread):

Currently - the sink is installed but the water is not hooked up. Electric is installed but not hooked into the panel yet.

All this to install a dishwasher... :)

@wyoDreamer , I can see where all that would make it "challenging" to do anything in the kitchen, lol. But you'll have almost a brand new kitchen once the work is done! Way to go on that!

I made these brownies yesterday:

Tom’s Brownies

pre heat oven to 350

2oz semi sweet chocolate bar

1/3 C baking cocoa

½ C plus 2tbl. Boiling water.

½ C plus 2 TBL. Vegetable oil

4 tbl melted butter

2 eggs plus 2 egg yolks

2 tsp vanilla

2 ½ C Sugar

1 ¾ C flour

1 tsp salt

6 oz chunked bitter chocolate

Shave semi‐sweet chocolate. Add cocoa powder to large bowl. Pour boiling water over cocoa and whisk.

Whisk after adding each: semi‐sweet chocolate, oil and butter, egg mixture, vanilla and sugar. Fold in

flour and salt. Mix in bitter chocolate.

Pour into parchment or nonstick aluminum lined 9x13 inch pan. Bake 30 minutes until tooth pick comes

out clean. Cool for an hour and then cut and serve.

I'm making these today! I only got a one day weekend, so I deserve a brownie! Haha!
