Lol i didnt she still wouldnt try it lol she was cranky tired on top of it all she had some yogurt and a banana but that was it. She passed out, it was several hours after lunch when she had her snack before i was going to cook and she passed out so we had cereal woot lol i didnt have to cook lol the bigger (more pregnant) i get the hard it is not to want to lay around. I cleaned out her sand box (chickens invade) bleached it and cleaned the coop. She got new sand and was rolling around in it the little goof ball. Outside of that it was a fun day.

I bought GA peaches today! DH and I were on a road trip and there was a guy set up by the road selling them. I'm so excited...I love GA peaches and this is the first I've seen of them this year. Tomorrow I'll have to get busy and do up something with them. Yum!

Lol i hope they good, the peaches i got from heb the other day were horrible they had no flavor which was depressing it took two tablespoons of brown sugar, butter and lemon and baking them to get them to even taste like peaches.

The guy sliced into one and gave us a sample. It tasted juicy and sweet. Love a good peach!

Sauerkraut is a type of fermentation, no vinegar. It makes it's own.
You might want to research kraut. it might be made the same way. Is it salty?

Yep. That answered my query I suppose. I'll research kraut instead. I've only ever done kimchi and hated it lol, so ive never my own kraut. I will now though ;)

You probably already know this but an extra word of caution is always good.

My former MIL had put up several huge crocks of cabbage and had them fermenting in her basement. She went away on vacation only to come home to find they had exploded and nastiness was covering every inch of the ceiling, walls and floor. She had put the lids on as tightly as possible. Bad, bad idea (but still funny to anyone that didn't have to help clean it up).

Same recipe as I use, only my recipe calls for cream instead of milk... So much better than the sweet potatoes made with marshmallow.
I never liked sweet potato casserole, but mom topped the whole casserole with tiny marshmallows. Maybe that's why I never liked it, will try the "plain" unadorned version and know it has to be better.

two year olds are hard to please. Made three different new items for lunch and she walks up says it stinky and walks away. It was chicken parmesan with noodles, for a salad it was water and cucumber mint salad, for desert brown sugared peaches and blueberries with whip cream.. Little brat and what it this beet thing how do you eat?
That's why they call it "the terrible two's". They say no to everything. Sounds like your 2 yo is quite normal.

We don't do sweetened sweet potatoes either, the plainer ones are sweet enough.

@Jesusfreak101 yep, that's a 2 year old for you. And they're easy compared to teenagers. Then you have to put up with the "look", that's worse than the "no" thing, lol.

Oh myyyyy :( that would surely stink, in more ways than one! No, no sealing crocks and leaving on vacation ;)

That's probably why so many people choose NOT to can; its messyvand downright dangerous :p
