@Alice28 I'm moving to your neighborhood! That sounds like so much fun!

It is a lot of fun! We use to rent outside of town and never had any trick or treaters, so we have fun with this and my son the last two years has liked handing stuff out or helping the kids choose what they want. The first year we only had 300 or 400 items and ran out, my son ran and grabbed his candy from trick or treating and handing it out! He was three the first year and kept saying "oh no! I need more for my trick or treaters!" If we gave out candy, I would have already eaten it

! So this works better for us, except my son helped pick everything out, so he keeps wanting to play with the toys. I had to hide it all

How cute is that! Taking care of HIS trick or treaters.

We are rural as well, so no visitors.

Your son sounds like a real sweetheart!

That's awesome Eggsy! I like the mini nutter butters better for them than the mini nilla wafers! Good find!

Don't anyone fall off their chairs, but tonight I made dinner!

I used this recipe:
KatharinetheGr8's - Pumpkin Raviolis with Brown Butter Sage Sauce - post #2214
Instead of pumpkin, I used baked sweet potato, left out the nutmeg, and added a couple more dashes of cayenne pepper.

It was so good! And very filling, we have a lot leftover so that takes care of lunch tomorrow. The best part was DH loved it! He's a tough customer too.

Earlier today I made the Witches Hat Halloween treats but no picture, I'll get one tomorrow. One thing I learned, the chocolate on the cookies and the Kisses were warm and a bit messy so tonight they are in the fridge firming up.

Oh yummy!
The Ravioli sounds delicious and I'll take 2 (yes TWO) dozen apple pies!!! Thank you very much...

My grandma used to make sweet potato and apple pies-she never used a recipe, she made her apple pies in a shallow tart pans all double crusted. When they had cooled she would stack about 4 or 5 together. The men would cut it like cake and you would have layers of filling and crust. Oh...that was over 30yrs ago and I can still taste them. So good.

Oh man! Busy day! Good job. I'm jealous of all the lucky people who get to eat your halloween goodies!
