Any Home Bakers Here?

Since Thanksgiving is around the corner, what's cooking? I love to try new ideas but love the classics too! I like to see the different areas of the country traditions. Thanks!
I may be hosting Thanks Giving this year. It has been quite a while since I did that.

I do not have a menu yet but we always have

Turkey
stuffing
mashed potatoe
Yams
Thanks giving rolls
yellow jello

I might have posted these recipes so check the first post in the thread to see. If you do not see recipes for the rolls and the jello, let me know

I add butternut squash soup, bourbon cranberry sauce, and likely a peach cobbler for desert. Day after is turkey dumpling soup.

ETA: And a pumpkin pie, of course.

I can understand all that but what's up with the yellow jello? Is that some family traditional dish?

We will have much more too! My sister likes to bring ham and there will be a veggie too. My oldest DD often brings home made cranberry sauce.

Pumpkin pie and at least one chocolate desert too.

And of course there will be Wine, coffee, espresso and other drinks.

Thanks for making me think of this! Gotat get planning....

Yellow Jell-O

1 Big Lemon Jell-O(6oz). Can use other Jell-O but it will not be the same.
1½C Milk scalded milk
8 oz cream cheese
1 C Cream
½ C cold water
2 eggs yolks

Add all ingredients in order in a blender. Whir after each addition. Pour into large serving bowl. Chill for a couple of hours or over night.

Note: Mom had a small blender. She needed to make this twice for the amount needed to fill the bowl. If you have a big blender, double the recipe.

Interesting, I've never seen a jello recipe quite like that.
