Any Home Bakers Here?

We have a butcher shop about 40 miles away that sells local raised meats. You can buy by the pound or by the quarter/half/whole. I went to school with a couple of the boys, the home farm raises the grass-fed beef, one of the brothers raises pastured hogs and one opened the butcher shop. They will buy animals from local farmers and butcher for the shop. Their price is a little high also, but the quality is really good. I need to buy a package or two and see if DH likes the taste of pastured beef. He is kinda picky about how meat tastes and tends to like the grain-fed, but I like the taste of home raised. I think they are the ones my parents used to buy a 1/2 a cow from every year. I also have a place about 10 miles away that will butcher, wrap and freeze an animal that I raise. But I would have to fence my property in order to do that.

Check to see if they sell frozen for less. The store here cuts a dollar or so off of the price per pond for frozen

South of us there is a Halal butcher. You pick the animal and can watch through a window as it is butchered. They have beef and goats

How can you guys BAKE with this weather? I forgot...the
weather is HOT and HUMID here 90 degrees. Perhaps it
is cooler in your location? Miss baking.
Have NOT Baked....and I have a bunch of GRAINS stored in my
refrigerator. What a chore to clean the refrigerator. Less room
for any other food. Can you give fine grains to Chickens? Stupid
email...YES? Aria

Make sure the chickens have grit and they can safely eat grains
