I have a new skillet I found at the Grocery outlet. It is a light cast iron that is easy to lift. I is similar to a steel pan but acts more like cast iron.Not crazy at all! I can't make a nice looking omelet in any kind of skillet. DH takes care of those around here (he makes pretty ones like you do).
I am careful to not change temperature too quickly with it so that it does not crack. It is becoming my go to pan
