Any Home Bakers Here?

Jared, that's awesome. I so want to grow geese... i've got a recipe for matza ball soup that is made from them that I so want to try.

It's fun when you can tie together some of the things you like to do the best.

Nothing but mud and muck all summer here. Rain other day. I don't think the turkeys remember what it's like to have a dry run :/ Usually, I loathe the coming of winter, not I'm just looking forward to the Frozen SOLID ground lol. I'll just hide inside and bake goodies :)

Hello,

@ronott1, maybe. Last time I cooked a whole Goose, did not turn out right. I'm going to try to make some pulled Goose sandwiches with a recipe I found, and if I like it, I'll try my hand at cooking a whole Goose again for Thanksgiving. I'll have to take down another, though. We will see what happens.

We do not get to cook Goose very often anymore!

Let us know how the pulled goose sandwiches turn out

A neighbor came back from Canada with lots of geese. His plan is to make goose sausage.

Bet that would be good! Geese are pretty fatty, right? So guessing that would make a good breakfast or maybe Italian type sausage.

If I can ever find my sausage recipe, I used to be able to make antelope sausage that you could not tell the difference from good pork sausage.

Did you add beef or other fat or suet to it?
