Any Home Bakers Here?

That was a recipe I posted Penny. Not sure why yours did that unless maybe the butter was melted before mixing? The recipe calls for unsalted but I don't know that that would cause the spreading.

I used unsalted butter that was just barely soft and they didn't spread at all.

Butter was left sit all day it was a crumbly state but when I make the balls it does form

I do my baking dishes here yes and as I am cooking will do all but what holds the food
 
I don’t know if anyone else hates paying for colored sugar, but I am not into paying the $3 for a 3oz. jar. So today I’m making colored sugar. You can just shake together sugar and food coloring, but I hate the clumps, so I am putting it in the oven for the five minutes it takes to warm up to 170* (the lowest my oven goes). It dries out, and doesn’t get hot enough to melt. :thumbsup

Can I do the same thing in my dehydrator at 130F?
 
Oh Ron did look at the butter kirkland is the brand I did photo the box flour never makes it a month yeast in the fridge as I was taught baking powder is new I go through allot of this stuff can your read sideways ?

I have that butter at home.

I will bake a batch of almond cookies this weekend to see how they do here
