Any Home Bakers Here?

You are energetic today! Those look so good!

Time for me to try my hand at sour dough again. This week is dedicated to integrating cockerels, then on to sour dough. :D

Between integrating cockerels and sour dough, that sounds like a pretty full week right there!

anyone got tips for cooking fish?

went fishing yesterday and came home with 5 nice yellow perch, planning to cook them tonight, for supper. any ideas are welcomed thanks :)

How big are the perch? I used to catch those all the time when I lived in North Idaho.

Being a fisherman myself, I usually just fillet them, take off the skin, then pan-fry them in butter.

So far today, I got my batch of 3 pizza doughs made up and sitting in the fridge until tomorrow (for 2 of them and the 3rd will be used later this week).

And 6 jumbo blueberry muffins (one of DH's favorites):

Those look yummy! We should probably have a recipe:D

I tried a new chocolate cupcake recipe. They are good but did not bake up as pretty as I like them. I will make them again though. I made a pan of brownies also.

Here you go DMC. I don't know that it's any different from other berry muffin recipes, but this one worked well for me.

Blueberry Muffins
(makes 6 jumbo or 12 regular size)

2 1/2 Cups AP four
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 Cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Cup buttermilk
4 oz. butter (a stick), melted
1 1/2 Cups blueberries, fresh or frozen

* Preheat oven to 400*.
* Whisk dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
* In another bowl, whisk eggs, lemon juice, buttermilk and butter.
* Stir wet and dry ingredients together just until combined (do not over mix)
* Fold in blueberries.
* Spoon batter into greased muffin pans (I used no-stick spray) and bake until golden brown. About 20-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
* Cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes, then remove the muffins from the pan and let cool completely.

Thanks Aria! I posted the recipe probably at the same time you were asking for it :) It's the post right above yours. #26,871
