Our asparagus is just starting - I found 5 spears yesterday and we had them for supper.

It was delicious. With today's rain, there will be even more tomorrow.

The problem is that I just need a few spears so I can fry it with bacon pieces and scrambled eggs topped with melted cheddar, There is going to b e a lot more than that so I need to find someone to give it to. It won't keep in the garden and I only eat it freshly picked now. I have been spoiled by having super fresh asparagus.

I only discovered asparagus 16 years ago. It was love at first bite, but I just don’t think to buy it.

It grows back each year like rhubarb...I bet you could grow some where you are
