I am going to see if I can bake something tomorrow. Don't know what to bake yet.
By the way, here is something else I found out about myself through a science experiment. If you guys know anybody who has ADHD, this will help you understand what their mind is going through.
And this comes from somebody who has ADHD.
Recently, I performed an experiment. My hypothesis was that my mind operates at such a speed that my body cannot keep up. Hence, it causes me to be overwhelmed and stressed.
I performed an experiment with Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. I played the piece very slowly in the beginning. I marked wherever I made a mistake and the reason I made that mistake. In this case, I only wrote down mistakes where I was thinking ahead in the piece.
When I finished playing slow, I took a look at the mistakes I wrote down. All these mistakes were because I was thinking ahead in the piece. One mistake was even 92 symbols ahead of where I currently was playing. In a nutshell, I played the wrong parts of the piece at the wrong time because I was thinking about it.
The standard deviation of how many symbols ahead I was thinking when I was playing slow was 25.
Then, I played it fast. The way it's supposed to be played actually. When I did this, I did the same thing. I wrote down the mistakes and where I was thinking in the piece.
This time, the standard deviation was 2. Not many mistakes, not many notes ahead of where I was in the piece.
So, here's what I learned. My mind operates very fast, and my body has to go very fast in order to keep up with it. When I play music, I have to play fast in order to keep my mind and body in sync, even though the piece may be a slow piece.
The speed of the mind is relative to the individual and the state of their mind. What may be the little Fugue in G minor for one person may actually be the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor for another person or Flight of the bumblebee for another, speed wise.
Everybody has a different speed in their mind. Sometimes, the mind may go so fast that it overwhelms the body.
This is ADHD. The mind is quite literally hyperactive, causing the subject to be overwhelmed and stressed.
