Just made Grandpa's cookie recipe. Plenty to share with the family, and setting some aside to take to his resting place Saturday to leave him one and have one with him. :)

I did Belgian waffles tonight double the recipe after I was making them realized we had added only 3 cups of milk but came out perfect
Belgian Waffles
Ingredients

2 1/4 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
3 Tablespoons Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 Large Eggs Separated
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
2 Cups Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions

Preheat your waffle iron, spray with non stick cooking spray and set aside.
In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
In a medium bowl beat the egg whites with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
In a separate medium bowl mix together the egg yolks, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract.
Add the egg yolk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Fold in the egg whites.
Pour the batter onto your hot waffle iron and cook according to manufacturer's directions**
The waffles sound good!

@ronott1 - We always take some patriotic decorations out to his grave as he passed right shortly before the 4th and was retired from the military. I never knew him to drink, but never thought to take him a little coffee so I might just do that. Long drive so it will probably be cold, but the thought counts. He loved animals so I’ve got a little statue of birds to leave too.
I like the idea of giving a toast to them along with the cookies and decorations.

It is very touching

Those sound good. I may have to try them.
