Any Home Bakers Here?

That’s OK. It was worth a shot. It’s 10.6 pounds. I plan on serving this at a VERY special occasion.
Wait, wait, hold the phone, back up the train. Special occasion, Jared? (Lifts eyebrow.) That's a tease. Do tell. Are you about to announce an engagement, or something? 🤨

That reminds me of the time I made brownies and chocolate chocolate chip muffins for family that was coming to visit. I set them on top of a waist-high cabinet in the kitchen, then left to shop or something. I came home, and discovered a torn apart plastic bag in front of the door. I was confused, then ran to the kitchen. Gone. He had eaten all the brownies and muffins! No bad side effects (other than the worst gas :sick).

I had a dog a long time ago, He ate all the butter on a camp out

So, I made a bear roast yesterday. A 2 pound rump roast. I have one thing I want to say, then I have a question.

I went to the store, and came back after making the roast. It was gone. All 2 pounds of the roast.

GONE.

I actually traced it to my dog, Buster. He took it while everyone was gone.

Boy, once he’s had game meat, Whether it be duck, goose, deer, or bear, you will never get him back on regular dog food again.

Here’s the question. About how heavy should a roast usually be? Does it depend on the type of roast?
My father makes 5 lb. roasts out of pork butts that he buys on sale at the store. Sometimes 6 lbs. It feeds about six people easily, and there's only a few slices left over afterwards.
Also, eesh! Bad dog!

He is a cute culprit, But a culprit none the less. Turns out the bigger culprit was my St. Bernard, but she passed away in March.
