Any Home Bakers Here?

The other day I was remembering my mom's magic cookie bars. Went online to find a recipe but none of them looked just right. Today I pulled out a recipe book I haven't looked at in probably a year and ta da...there was mom's recipe! All the way back from 1988. I'm going to put it here so I can find it easier, I think I'll make some to send to mom in her Christmas package this year.

Magic Cookie Bars
(makes 24-36 bars)

1/2 Cup butter
1 1/2 Cups graham cracker crumbs
1 (14-oz) can sweetened condensed milk
6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/3 Cups flaked coconut
1 Cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350* (325* for a glass dish). In a 13x9" baking pan, melt the butter in the oven (don't burn it!).

Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the melted butter. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumbs.

Top with remaining ingredients. Press down gently.

Bake 22-28 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Chill if desired. Cut into bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature.

Thanks for sharing this recipe I know someone that will love eating these. We can't see each other for Christmas but there's always the post. :)

Baked my bread and some dog biscuits. Hopefully I've sorted out my chicken feed delivery and that got really confusing . I've been running around like an hyperactive chimpanzee on a sugar overload since early this morning, and i have to admit I'm tired zzz.
I do hope you are all well and safe. Looking forward to being here tomorrow.

Have a lovely morning day, afternoon or night wherever you are and whatever you are doing. :)

Hi all, been baking for almost three hours now. I have a pot pie going in next. This is pumpkin cake, I usually make this in a tube pan but my daughter is taking some to work to share tomorrow.
