Any Home Bakers Here?

Going back to re-watch the video. So informative.
My neighbors came and planted my planter with herbs and my large clay pots with tomatoes. Did not get to watch the video. Will do later. Sounds fantastic. GREAT JOB. Grandma, you should be very
proud. Aria

You have some very nice neighbors Aria!

Debby, The best neighbors. They are always HELPING me do things. Now I am looking to kill the
mosquitoes in my rain barrel. Google said veggie oil. Any one have a solution> after the oil...put a mesh or netting to keep more out. Aria
You could put mesh. You could also put a small floating fountain if you want something pretty. We used to have a solar one in our bird bath. Anything that keeps the water moving will kill them though.

Found this while unpacking. I need to get more cheese making stuff.

It’s finally raining here so I’m going to take a break from gardening and do some baking/cooking today. I want to put up some freezer meals probably some mini pot pies, pancakes and maybe some chicken soup. I also might make some cookies or bread if I feel up too it/have time.

Currently the latest foster kitten who is a semi feral is curled up on my chest purring so I’m not sure when I’ll get too it lol.

How long are you able to keep the pancakes frozen?

Great job but he needs to possibly skip the how to make starter do it as second one maybe seems something got lost there but just my humble opinion.
Oh heck yeah and I wouldn’t do it like that or use his recipe. But I think it’s nice that a 14 year old boy made a sourdough video and not one about making firecrackers or stink bombs! :gig Or a backyard still... when I was a teenager I figured out how to make wine using a big balloon on a cider jug.

I was impressed that a young person not only enjoys baking bread, but made a video about it.

P.S. You might have to tell us how you make wine in a balloon sometime...or make a video about it.

I think it involved Welch’s grape juice and Fleishmann’s yeast. Maybe some sugar, I don’t really remember. You mix it up, pop the balloon on it and hide it from your parents. :gigThe hard part was finding a balloon that was big and tough enough.
I did make one with my 4 year old granddaughter making sauerkraut. I should post that one sometime.
