Hi! I sorta bake, I like making easy things like sponge cake, but it never turns out spongy, any tips?

We have to log back in every two weeks now. BYC logs you out.

Really? When did this start? I know I have had to log in a couple of times since I joined, but I don't think I've had to in the last month.

Hi @beetaLiK, welcome to the thread! I have never made sponge cake. I remember my mom making angel food cake and inverting the pan on wine bottle. I never asked why, and I don't know if it applies to sponge cake.

That is not necessarily true. I do not get logged out every two weeks. BYC might log me out about once a year.

I had to find out why you cool angel food cake upside down. So I also looked up sponge cake. Maybe this site will help you?

I had to log back in last week. Maybe it is because I setup two factor authentication.

Usually recipes for roll up cakes are sponge cakes.

I have made Boston cream pie where the cake is a sponge cake. You have likely made them but they were called something else.
