I chose that recipe over others because it required more SD starter -- 2 cups. I needed to use up a bit.
In a somewhat futile attempt to save my waistline, I froze half the batter (in cookie size balls) for future 'needs.' That didn't stop me from eating half a dozen while they were still warm!![]()
Ok, so, newbie question since @Sally PB brought up using GF flour in a sourdough recipe.I am going to have to make these for hubby... and not tell him I used GF flour. Or tell him, and if he doesn't like them, all the more for me!
I will make a change to the recipe: Butterscotch chips in place of chocolate chips. Try them sometime in an oatmeal cookie recipe. Oh. My.

Yes. I ordered a GF starter. I use 1/4 cup oat flour and 1/4 cup rice flour with 1/4 cup water when I feed mine. Can sourdough starter be started/maintained with GF flour? Can you make GF sourdough bread/baked goods?
Nut... cookies... nope, not together, in my book. or in brownies or fudge.I did not add the pecans to the recipe -- don't think nuts of any kind belong in a cookie (unless they're very finely ground)
Agreed!! Definitely NOT in brownies or fudge... or ice-cream.Nut... cookies... nope, not together, in my book. or in brownies or fudge.
Right!or ice-cream.
