Any Home Bakers Here?

Well, I was wrong about that large 2.5oz egg. It was a really big single yolk.

Maybe it means bigger eggs like that in the future? I don’t know.

A recipe popular this time of year.

Salt dough ornaments (or baby hand and footprints)

2 cups flour

1 cup table salt

1 cup water

Mix the salt and flour together, then slowly add the water until a ball is formed.

Knead dough 7-10 minutes.

Roll out dough and cut into shapes.

Allow to air dry or bake at 325 on a foiled cookie sheet. For each 1/4 inch of thickness, cook for 1/2 hour.

Allow to cool, and decorate.

Store unused dough in a plastic bag.
The recipe is in the index, in the miscellaneous tab

Who wants to see something really funny that’s baking related?

I just made some more sourdough waffles from leftover batter. I happened to set it near the fish tank, and I caught my fish swimming down to the bottom of the tank to take a look at the waffles. I got five pictures of him doing this.

Well, that’s Flare for you. He’s always interested in what I’m cooking. Probably because he lives in the kitchen so he sees people cooking a lot.
