Rhubarb Dream Bars

Heat oven to 350* , line pan with parchment.

Crust

2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar

Mix, press into 10x15 pan, bake for 15 mins.

Beat together;

4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix in 4 cups rhubarb, pour /spread over hot crust.

Bake 45 mins.

I turned down the oven temperature, and used less time (12 instead of 15-20). My pretzel bottoms are still getting too dark. They taste just fine, but I need to know why they are getting so dark. I have not had this problem in the past. image.jpg

I received an email from King Arthur Baking. The recipe was for a small batch (2) of biscuits. It said something along the lines of, “for small households, a whole batch isn’t practical.” :idunno I have a monster that eats everything left on the counter overnight. 3 dozen cookies, a dozen doughnuts…
I got the same email and decided that I will continue to make the buttermilk biscuit recipe I always use.

The type of baking sheet makes a difference too!
