hi everyone , i was thinking of buying a bread maker to try my hand at it , what would be a good one yall like ? i will prob order off amazon most likely

Welcome! I own a zojirushi, and it works well. I think it’s an expensive model, so maybe it’s not for you.

What’s your price range? Maybe we can help you make a decision.

since im just starting im thinking 100-150 max and would spend more as i get experience
Most bread machines are around $60. There might be Labor Day sales, but I got mine for $40 at Sears at Christmas time. Honestly, it’s more about what you want the machine to do. There are so many funky settings. Even without a sourdough setting, you can use your bread machine for sourdough on the French bread setting.
Most machines are more tall than long, so I think the biggest hurdle will be, if that bothers you, finding one that makes a longer loaf.
There is nothing wrong with getting one from a secondhand store.

The physical dimensions might be important.

I had to turn my bread machine sideways so that I could open it without the lid hitting a cupboard. Low clearance on my countertops.

So yellow cake is made cream cheese frosting on it.
Recipe was out of 1961 Wisconsin cookbook.
It is go to for recipes,
Yellow Cake
2 1/4 c Flour
1 1/2 c Sugar
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 c shortening part butter.
2/3 c milk
I added pudding like 1 cup

Basic bake 350
Sift dry add sugar and shortening with milk.
Add beat 2 more minutes add eggs one at time.
Says you can add yellow food coloring, Did not need to eggs made it yellow. Only shortening in the pan, two rounds or a sheet cake.
Bake up to 35 minutes.
