I ordered coturnix from purelypoultry.com and had a 53% hatch rate on my first batch so I consider them a good source.

Oh, that's a good idea! Where exactly did you order eggs? Craigslist as well? Thanks for your answer.

I ordered mine from www.kcquailfarm.com. And had about a 70% hatch rate.

They look like they will be the "Normal/Brown/Wild/Pharoah" type ^^

Those prior pictures are of hens, here's my male - note the rusty colored chest with no dark spots

*edit* he also didn't get that dark face until after his fall molt!
