Any insight on what could be wrong with my hen?

So she made it through the night but she’s not able to walk and now she won’t eat the mash. Her crop is empty. I’m afraid she’s thirsty or hungry and that’s part of what’s causing her weakness.

Both. And her upcoming appointment was to replace her “birth control”. She’s coming up on 3 years old.

They couldn’t remove the ovary because of the proximity to her other organs but they removed the rest of the tract and then they gave her the implant.

I ended up taking her to the vet today. They had no leads in what’s making her feel so bad, just lots of possibilities that could only be determined with thousands of dollars in tests. I’m heartbroken.

they gave her fluids and tube fed her and sent me home with some antibiotics just in case it’s a simple bacteria infection. She’s seemed to perk up a bit and actually ate some of her favorite treats when we got home but I’ve accepted that I may not be able to help her for much longer. If I need to, I will take her to be euthanized.
