The second EE looks like it might be a cock to me. All of the long pointed feathers are a rooster tell.

I think the rir comb is a little red but looks like my rir combs at that age. They are all beautiful egg laying machines now!

Yeah, I agree... But like in your case, I've always noticed the RIR hens to have really red combs normally... So I'm hoping it's the same in my case.

That has been a concern for me on both of my EE's... Did you mean the 2nd picture of an EE or the actual 2nd EE? It can be hard to tell them apart in those pics.. I worry more about the puffy cheeked one because she's been quite aggressive compared to the others, is bigger, more protective, and has a different looking neck... But the tipped pointy feathers can be so hard for me to differentiate... I've seen some hens with some pretty pointy feathers... I guess only time will truly tell! *SIGH*

That has been a concern for me on both of my EE's... More on the puffy cheeked one because she's been quite aggressive compared to the others, is bigger, protective, and has a different looking neck... But the tipped pointy feathers can be so hard for me to differentiate... I've seen some hens with some pretty pointy feathers... I guess only time will truly tell! *SIGH*

Compared to this girl with also very pointy feathers, but is smaller at the same age, more docile, and I think it has a more hen-like shape....
