Hmm. Well, remember that Jesus himself is there, every time. Sure, he is God and is therefore everywhere, but He is especially present in the Blessed Sacrament. Next, listen. Really
think about the words that the priest, lectors, and congregation are saying. Give God a chance to reach out to you through His words, through the words of His mass. Going to Mass is like filling up your tank at a gas station before heading out on a trip. You can't drive out and expect to get wherever you want to go without a full tank. You need the grace and strength that Mass gives to be able to navigate the pitfalls and problems of our world. And then, lastly, just pray. You dont necessarily have to be at church to pray. Say prayers when you get up (a morning offering,) when you eat, when you are bored (i say a rosary then to pass the time) whenever you have a few extra minutes to spend with your Maker.
Sounds like a good idea.
My dad would always say, if you can't give an hour of your week to God, you've got a problem. I know he was right.
He would go to mass every day. It was what gave him peace, I know it. He once told me that his mother, whom was from Ireland, would go to church every day. Especially when she'd get upset, etc. I just wish I had the faith my dad did.
